TERMS & CONDITIONS

Downlands Cattery is licensed by Horsham District Council and rated a five star boarding cattery.

All guests must be fully vaccinated against Feline Enteritis and Feline Flu. A current vaccination certificate must be shown on arrival at Downlands.

We reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill health upon arrival.

We ask that all guests are treated for worms and fleas prior to their stay at Downlands. If any guest is found to have fleas or worms the appropriate treatment will be administered and you will be charged accordingly.

Only cats from the same home may share a room.

We ask that you remove your cat's collar if they normally wear one.

The welfare of our guests is our priority, if your cat becomes ill during his/her stay, she/he will be treated by your own vet if possible, or by our local vet. You will be charged accordingly for any treatment received.

A poorly cat will be cared for in our isolation unit for their own comfort and the wellbeing of our other guests.

Male cats over ten months old must be neutered.

Fees are charged per day with a minimum fee equivalent to 3 days stay. The minimum fee increases to the equivalent of 5 days stay over the Christmas, New Year and Easter periods.

Fees include the day of arrival and the day of departure.

Full payment of fees must be made on collection by bank transfer, cheque or cash. Long term stays are payable four weekly in advance. Sorry we do not have the facilities to process debit or credit cards.

If bookings are not cancelled within 7 days of requirement the full fee will be payable. To avoid this please let us know should your plans change.  * Please note all cancellation fees are waived for 2021

In the event of early collection, the full booking fee is still payable.

Bedding is provided but we recommend that your cat has his/her own bed or blanket from home to help him/her settle.

Any abandoned guests will be passed to the Cats Protection or other appropriate cat welfare organisation. This is a last resort and every effort will be made to contact the owner.

Finally, whilst every care and attention of our guests is given all cats are boarded at their owner’s risk.
